Speech pathology intervention can significantly improve your child’s receptive and expressive language skills. Your therapist will start by assessing your child’s language skills by using various informal and formal assessment tools. At Blacktown Speech Pathology we tailor therapy to suit your child’s individual needs. Therapy may focus on your child’s play skills, joint attention, understanding and use of vocabulary, grammar, following directions and overall ability to express their wants and needs. After each therapy session your child will receive homework tasks to allow for further practice and repetition. Completion of these tasks, along with the implementation of acquired strategies are imperative to ensure that the highest results and progress are attained.
